Colors…textures…moods and a tad bit of whimsy. Angela C Ferguson utilizes these four elements in creating her soft sculpture art dolls and hanging quilts. It’s all in the details from head to toe. She has been crafting since the 2nd grade and began designing fine art dolls in 2003. Blessed with a wild imagination and the ability to convey those thoughts through creative arts has won her several local and national awards.
Angela is a self-taught visual artist creating mostly in cloth, polymer clay and found objects. She’s also a one-of-a-kind, semi-precious stone jewelry, and art quilt designer. Angela keeps her skills sharp by taking various classes and through trade books. Angela has a background in Fashion Merchandising, Executive Administration, Economic Development and is a US Army Disabled Veteran. She has held positions as the lead artist in various artistic groups and is a member of African Americans for the Arts (AAFTA), a local non-profit organization of visual and performing artists in the metro Atlanta area. She was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio as the 2nd of 6 siblings, is the mother of 1 son and 1 granddaughter. She currently resides in the metro-Atlanta area.
Angela C “acferguson” Ferguson is a self-taught visual artist with over 20 years art doll experience. Utilizing colorful cloths, polymer clay, found objects, style, and a wild imagination, I create unique one-of-a-kind, soft sculptured art dolls and hanging quilts that create a mood and starts conversations.
